Negotiations 1999!:
Recently Laidlaw Corporation arranged a 2 year extension of their Contract with the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) without consulting the School Bus Drivers Union (the employees). It would have been considerate if they at least asked for our input. We as a union have many issues with the way Laidlaw does business and treats its employees. In order to address these issues our union decided to negotiated a new contract that would help bring parity and fairness to our members. Laidlaw has drastically cut our wages, continues to pay minimal salaries to its office staff and dispatchers and meanwhile reaps in mega-profits from our community - Enough is Enough!
